About the Journal

Introduction

AXIS Journal of Social Sciences is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to advancing rigorous, relevant, and innovative research across the broad and evolving field of social sciences. The journal provides an interdisciplinary platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, and emerging scholars to examine the complex social, cultural, behavioural, institutional, technological, economic, and political processes that shape contemporary societies.

Contemporary issues increasingly exist at the intersection of multiple fields, requiring researchers to connect theories, methods, perspectives, and forms of evidence. In this sense, AXIS represents a meeting point of knowledge—a scholarly space where diverse social-science disciplines intersect, where established perspectives can engage with emerging ideas, and where research can move beyond disciplinary boundaries to develop deeper understandings of individuals, communities, institutions, and societies.

The journal therefore views social science not as a collection of isolated disciplines, but as an interconnected field of inquiry. It welcomes scholarship that is theoretically informed, methodologically rigorous, socially relevant, and capable of contributing to academic knowledge as well as the understanding of real-world social challenges.

Scholarly Orientation

The journal values research that goes beyond merely describing social phenomena. Preference is given to studies that demonstrate a clear research problem, theoretically meaningful engagement, methodological soundness, analytical depth, and a clearly articulated contribution to existing scholarship.

AXIS Journal of Social Sciences seeks to create a scholarly environment in which different disciplines do not simply coexist but interact, intersect, and inform one another.

The journal's central philosophy can therefore be expressed through its name:

AXIS — where diverse perspectives meet to understand society.

Through this orientation, the journal aims to serve as an intellectual axis connecting research, theory, evidence, practice, and society.
